Partnerships are often formed between individuals, agencies or organisations with a shared interest to address specific issues. Our evidence reveals that our members young and old often require mental, emotional, financial, medical help, support and guidance. The Referees’ Association champion the work of those agencies that provide this support in times of need.

Ignoring prostate cancer won't beat it

Prostate Cancer UK has a simple ambition – to stop men dying from prostate cancer. Through shifting the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and support, we will stop prostate cancer being a killer.

We campaign for men with prostate cancer to receive the best treatment and care wherever they live in the UK, based on the latest evidence.

National Centre for Domestic Violence

The National Centre for Domestic Violence (NCDV) provides a free, fast emergency injunction service to survivors of domestic violence regardless of their financial circumstances, race, gender or sexual orientation.

LGBT Foundation

The Referees’ Association champion the work of the LGBT Foundation, and believe in a fair and equal society where people who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans can achieve their full potential.

NSPCC

Abuse robs children of their childhood. Without help, the scars of abuse can last a lifetime. And as devastating as it can be for the child, society pays a heavy price too.

Abuse changes childhood, but so can we. Child abuse is preventable - not inevitable. And it’s up to each of us to do everything possible to keep childhood safe from abuse, so children can grow up healthy and thrive. That’s why we're here and drives what we do. Kick It Out

The Football Referees’ Association champions the work of Kick It Out, football’s equality and inclusion organisation, in tackling all forms of discrimination and raising awareness of equity, diversity, and cohesion through practices and policies across football.

Childline

Football Referees are regularly subjected to physical and emotional abuse. The Referees’ Association champion the work of Childline in supporting anyone Under 19 who have experienced any type of abuse.

Breast Cancer UK

The Referees’ Association champion the work of Breast Cancer UK. 1 in 8 women in the UK will be diagnosed with breast cancer at some point in their lives. 1 in 5 will be under 50 years old. Sadly not all breast cancers are preventable. Yet at least 1 in 4 breast cancer cases each year in the UK could be prevented. Breast Cancer UK is the only UK charity focused on prevention.

Young Minds

The Referees’ Association champion the work of YoungMinds in helping to improve children's wellbeing and mental health. The RA will continue to campaign that any form of abuse directed at U18s whilst officiating are to be treated as a Safeguarding and Criminal Act first, and an FA issue second.

The National RA recommends that prospective members should join through their local LRA, the easiest way being to attend one of the many local association meetings that take place across the country on a regular (usually monthly) basis. Find your nearest branch now.

Alternatively, online membership is now available for any referee who wishes to take up central membership. The National RA will then allocate you a local branch. Join now.
