FA Cup Final Celebration Event 2026
Wolverhampton RA were delighted to welcome Howard Webb to their March meeting.

Luis James shares an insight into this fantastic event.

"On Monday 16th March, Wolverhampton Referees’ Association, in association with Staffordshire FA, proudly hosted a special evening with PGMO Chief Refereeing Officer and former Premier League Referee; Howard Webb, at the iconic Molineux Stadium.

The event welcomed members from across the refereeing community for an engaging and insightful Q&A session with one of the most respected figures in the game. Howard delivered a professional, approachable and highly engaging talk, taking time to interact with attendees and share his experiences at the highest level of football. His openness and willingness to connect with members created a welcoming atmosphere and made the evening particularly memorable.

A key highlight of the night included video clips from the Premier League VAR team, this offered attendees a deeper understanding of the decision-making processes and challenges involved at the elite level of officiating.

In addition to the educational aspect, the evening also featured a number of exciting extras. A signed Howard Webb shirt was presented as a giveaway to one lucky member, adding a special touch to the occasion. There were also raffles held on the night, generously supported by The Ref Stop; further enhancing the overall experience.

The event proved to be a resounding success, delivering both valuable learning opportunities and an enjoyable social atmosphere. Wolverhampton Referees’ Association continues to demonstrate its commitment to supporting and developing referees through high-quality events such as this."
